Nicknamed "Queen of the shelter" by long time volunteers, Minerva is quite the character who has a mind of her own and doesn't hesitate to show it.

Underneath her gorgeous exquisite tortoiseshell furs and her no-nonsense exterior, and her sardonic, bemused style is a soft heart of gold, and after a tiny bit of sulking, she is in fact delighted to entertain.

She would be best suited as an only cat since she doesn’t always get along with her fellow felines. Being an independent woman, she will let you know when she's had enough petting; she may swat once in a while, only when she's had enough, so she should not be with younger children.

She is healthy, vetted, vaccinated, an expert at using her litter box, and a good eater. She would be a wonderful addition to the right home - whether it's a foster or adopter.

Minerva just needs a quiet place to call her own where she can spend her days bird watching—her favorite pastime!
Also, those intense, intelligent eyes see right through you. A senior cat at 10 years old - she's seen it all and like a true New Yorker, is unfazed by it all.
