Meet Milagro (FeLV+)
FeLV + We do not concern ourselves with the quality of time they have left, rather the quality of life we can provide them for that time.
Unfortunately, Milagro has tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV). He should probably go only to a home with no other cats or with other cats also known to be FeLV-positive.
Other FeLV-positive kittens in the same foster home include Milagro. If you are interested in adopting Milagro with a friend, it would be ideal to adopt him with another FeLV-positive kitten from his current foster home. They are all best buddies who love to play and sleep together. They are very affectionate with each oth
er and with their foster mom.
The virus is not airborne and it CANNOT cause illness in people, dogs, or any other animals; it only infects cats. The virus is transmissible to other cats through shared water and food bowls, shared litter boxes, and mutual grooming. There are many websites with information about FeLV; one suggested site is:
https://bestfriends.org/stories-blog-videos/latest-news/feline-leukemia-misconceptions
.
If you'd like to meet this cat or think this cat would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt! 3/20/23 7:23 PM
