Miko & Phoenix (Bonded Pair) Domestic Short Hair Mix Minneapolis, MN

Miko (12, black, male) and Phoenix (13, tuxedo, female) are an adorable senior pair looking for their forever home!

Miko is a little reserved and mostly keeps to himself, but is very loving and still needs affection. He will often come curl up in your lap and loves a good belly rub. Phoenix may look like a grumpy old lady but she's actually very sweet and friendly once you get to know her. She's very chatty, has a little bit of sass, and has the cutest chirp you've ever heard! They both are avid biscuit makers.

Neither cat is not super active and both spend most of their day sleeping. Miko likes to find a spot where he feels safe and cozy to spend most of his time. Phoenix in particular loves to nap between quilts and sheets on a bed. They are a little more active in the evenings—Phoenix is the more playful of the two and she loves to chase the laser pointer. She also enjoys passing the time at night sitting on the couch and looking out the window. Both kitties love to cuddle up for pets, and are more likely to seek attention later in the day.

Miko and Phoenix currently eat Hills C/D urinary care diet (dry and wet food). They seem to be very particular about their food but do not otherwise require special care or have any major medical concerns. They don't bug their foster family about food in the morning and sometimes even need to be reminded they have food out! That being said, they do eat plenty. They used crystal litter in their previous home, but have adjusted to clay litter and will use either. Phoenix can hop on surfaces up to about 4 feet, but neither of them gets up on high surfaces very often. They mostly stick to beds and couches. They are both declawed in the front paws.

Miko and Phoenix currently live with two adults in an apartment. They previously lived in a home with dogs and kids, but their foster family has not observed their behavior with other cats, dogs, or kids. They would both benefit from a forever home that is calm and has moderate to low noise. As they get acclimated, they could use a space that is secluded so they can feel safe and get comfortable with their new environment on their own terms. These kitties would appreciate someone with the patience that comes with caring for aging pets.

Miko and Phoenix are gems and have a lot of love to give!

Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
