Midnight, not a sound from the pavement, has the moon lost her memory? She is smiling alone...well Ms Midnight Memory was abandoned at the local shelter--reason? Moving! She lived w/ an older gentleman cat and a small dog, tolerated everyone, loved to be brushed in her previous home...and now, declawed, finds herself without a home to call her own:( Please apply and let's put a smile on this XLg girl's face again. She's ready to love again, all 18lbs of her and 10y young!

All our cats are in the NY area and can be adopted out of state. We do like to meet you so plan on picking up; if flying, in cabin only; in some cases we will help with transport.

Please note: kittens MUST be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we are happy to recommend cats who would do best as solos. Cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/Felv tested, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.

Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can perhaps foster, volunteer, and of course, you can always donate!
