Merlin is a large 7 year young all black fella who is looking for a place to hang his hat. His story is a sad one. Merlin traveled all the way from Tennessee to Manchester with his owner, only to find out that he wasn't welcome at his owner's new apartment. This is one southern gentleman who needs to catch a break! While he’s a personable guy, he would prefer a calm and quiet home without dogs or young children. Other cats in his new home may be okay with him though, as long as a slow and proper introduction is made between them. Merlin would flourish in a home where there are not a lot of distractions going on. He thrives on a peaceful routine. Merlin told us to make sure that we send him to a home that has a nice comfy bed where he can catnap the day away while he waits for you to come home. Merlin has to sporadically take medication for asthma, which is not difficult at all to administer. Merlin is currently taking a vacation from shelter life at the home of one of our awesome foster families. The adoption fee for adult cats includes the following: spay or neuter and procedure; 1 year Rabies vaccination; distemper vaccination, microchip; and combo test of FIV (feline AIDS) and FeLV (feline leukemia). Other medical care provided might include treatments for fleas, ear mites, dental work or infections or other medical conditions. Additional kitten vaccinations will be the responsibility of the adopter.
