Meet Merlin

MERLIN is both a charming lap-cat who loves to be petted and a stealthy hunter who loves his active chase games! He’s all the things you’d want in a cat – friendly, sweet-natured, laid back, good with people and guests, perfect with litters and willing to eat multiple foods, puppy-like so he follows you from room to room, loves games and is always amusing. He’s easy to live with - and so easy to love. Look into his eyes and you'll know he's got intelligence, curiosity, and confidence. He has yellow-moon eyes that magically morph to a bright green. He is a stunningly sleek, glossy black cat with panther-like grace. You'll discover that his smooth exterior masks that playful, funny, chatty personality. Handsome Merlin is beyond his kitten-terror months at about a year old so he's young, plays and pounces like a kitten, and is not destructive.

Merlin is immediately trusting and outgoing. Despite having a sad history of being abandoned and struggling to survive, he has a deep love of people and charms everyone he meets. He loves company and interaction - and string and 'bug' games. This black cat crossing your path means you've met a friend for life!

Merlin would be happy as a single cat as long as he gets lots of play and interaction - those who think cats are aloof and boring need not apply! He will thrive with active games, mature children, and/or other confident, playful young cats. While he has not lived with dogs, a slow introduction to a friendly, well-trained canine would work very well with his nature.
