Mercury is a handsome, happy guy who loves people & other kitties! He is very affectionate and loves to snuggle and be carried around. He would love to be adopted with his girlfriend, Sparrow -- more on her later. :)

Mercury will need an experienced adopter, as he has a couple of things going on: He has a mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia, which causes him to lose his balance at times. Because of this, Mercury would not be a good fit in a home with small children, as he often uses his claws to hold onto things and is likely to accidentally scratch a child who tries to handle him. He doesn't need any meds or special food, but he does need a home with carpeted stairs, and no open railing.

He also has a mild case of Pectus Excavatum, a congenital condition which causes the sternum and rib cage to be misshapen and sunken into the chest. The condition has caused his heart to be pushed over to the left, but specialists don't recommend surgery, and his heart & lung function are normal.

Mercury can usually be found snuggling with Sparrow on the couch. She is a lovely, quiet, gentle little girl who has a head tilt from a past ear infection -- which is just adorable. She isn't much of a snuggler...unless you are Mercury. These sweethearts have not been around dogs. They are a wonderful pair who are looking for a wonderful home!

Please note: Kittens who remain with a littermate or a similarly-aged companion are healthier, happier and better socialized. If you adopt littermates, not only will they keep each other entertained and happier, we'll also give you a reduced adoption fee! Please inquire if interested in adopting a sibling or foster buddy.

All of our adoptable kitties are current on shots, microchipped, altered (if old enough), and litter box trained.
