Meer by the numbers: Just 10 years old, but *7* years in a shelter, and now *3* in foster. All she needs is *1* person to change her life and become her forever family. Why not you?

Lest you think sweet Meer is damaged in some way, nope! Actually, she would love to sit in a lap all day long, given the chance. But when she started out in the shelter, she was semi-feral and undersocialized, and didn't make much progress. But as Meer got older, she started to accept petting from the shelter volunteers and became more social. A Cats R Us volunteer took Meer home to work with her and see how she did in a home environment. And slowly, Meer did great! (See the kisses and lap pix!)

Unfortunately the foster home has an alpha female cat who doesn't like Meer, so poor Meer was stressed out and moved to separate room. As much as Meer is loved, that room is needed for a family member now, but Meer deserves a home of her own anyway, and not be relegated to a room by herself all day.

All of our cats and kittens are rescues. They are mixed breed unless otherwise noted. If a cat or kitten is tagged as a particular breed we do not have papers to verify the breed information. We assign breeds to our cats and kittens based on similar appearance, size, and temperament as described in the breed description of a purebred cat.

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION: Cats R Us is a not for profit, 501(c)(3) cat rescue group that operates two small shelters and a foster home program in the Annapolis, Maryland area. Our main focus is TNvR-M (Trap, Neuter, vaccinate, Return and Monitor) of community cats but we also have tame cats and kittens available for adoption. All of our adoptable cats and kittens are found as strays. We are a NO KILL facility and our cats will stay with us as long as it takes for them to find their forever home. Our adoption fee is $120.00 for kittens under 1 year (2 for $200), $100 for cats over 1 year (2 for $180), and $150 - $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. The adoption fee helps our rescue cover the cost of all initial vet work including a wellness exam, spay or neuter, vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV (unless otherwise noted), treated for parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, ear mites), and microchipped.
