Maximus aka "Max" Domestic Medium Hair Anoka, MN

Max’s story began on a college campus where he was reportedly harassing students for food until someone called security. He was very thin and dirty, but also so friendly that one of the students impulsively took him home. Sadly she couldn’t keep him, but she knew someone who could foster him and help him find a good home.

Maximus is estimated to be 10-12 months old. He is already tall and probably still growing. He has a soft and beautiful medium length orange and white coat with an amazing fluffy tail. He is sweet, friendly, affectionate, playful, energetic, vocal, and confident. He earned his name because he does everything “to the max.”

While in foster care, Maximus has learned to play and is very entertaining to watch while he tosses and chases his favorite ball. He is full of youthful energy and is ready for adventure. He has also discovered that he LOVES catnip almost as much as food.

In between play sessions, Max will demand affection from his foster mom. He gives lots of face rubs and head bonks, he climbs onto laps and into arms for cuddles and kisses, and even sits on shoulders for a better view out the window. He does get overstimulated with human interaction, and will need an adult-only family. He also objects to being alone and is very vocal when he can tell his foster mom is about to leave, and he calls out when he hears her come home. He would really enjoy being in a home with other cats but prefers no dogs.

Max is still adjusting to being indoors, so he sometimes paces and has trouble fully relaxing. He escapes from his room at every opportunity, so he likely would escape an open outside door as well if given the chance. With some training he would make a great travel companion.

All kitties are completely vetted, which includes feluk/fiv testing, deworming, age appropriate vaccines and spay or neuter.
