Hi, my name is Max!

I am a stunning eight year old black kitty with bright green eyes. I found myself in a local MI shelter when my owner had to move and couldn't take me with them. I started to hide and shutdown.

Luckily, they reached out to Happy Paws where they were able to secure a foster so I did not have to stay in the shelter very long.

I am a sweet boy who loves to snuggle in my bed and blanket. I am very easygoing and would love a relaxed environment / household. I love to be around people and will follow from room to room and chatter at you for attention. My favorite is chin scratches and face rubs, but sometimes I'll even allow belly rubs and chest scratches too. My foster says I'm pretty darn cute!

I'd do best being the only spoiled pet in the household, but I have done okay with some dogs and kitties with time, so it's possible if matched with one that has my same mellowness I'd be fine. I'm very curious, but cautious, so again with the right temperament I could be okay, but my transition may just take some extra time and patience if so.

I'm not a huge fan of traditional cat toys, but I'll play with strings or yarn and love to bat at fingers if I'm in a playful mood.. I'm also a champ with my litter box and love to sleep in bed with my human or in my cat bed during the day. I'm neutered and up to date on my vaccines, and am a very happy healthy boy overall!
