Meet Matto
How this pet arrived: Matto was brought in by a community member on September 25, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Matto, a resilient kitty with a gentle spirit who has faced some tough challenges but is well on his way to recovery. Matto's right back leg is fractured and currently supported with a splint to allow the bones to heal - and it's been healing well! His adopter should monitor the splint daily to ensure it stays clean and properly positioned, and check his toes twice daily for swelling (comparing to the other foot). If there are any concerns about the splint or swelling, please contact us or your veterinarian promptly. After adoption, we're offering one free sedated recheck on 11/6/25 to evaluate bone healing and, if all looks good, remove the splint at that time. You're also welcome to follow up with your own veterinarian at your own cost. Matto also had hip surgery (FHO - femoral head and neck ostectomy) on his left hip on 10/23/25. He should be encouraged to move and bear weight on the leg as tolerated. Using toys to lure him to walk on the limb and gently moving his leg through its normal range of motion twice daily will help maintain flexibility and strength during recovery. Through it all, Matto has shown he's a brave, affectionate boy who takes everything in stride. He's ready to continue healing in a home that can offer him patience, comfort, and care. Please bring a large cat carrier for a safe and cozy ride home! Primary Color: Blue Secondary Color: White Weight: 11.9lbs Age: 1yrs 4mths 3wks Animal has been Neutered
