Meet Matilda
Hi everyone! Meet Matilda. She is a beautiful white domestic shorthair cat with grey rings on her tail. We estimate her to be around 2 years old. She had a litter of four kittens and was a very good momma, keeping track of the babies. She monitored them and “hissed” any other cats or our dog, when they come close. Don't let her size fool you, Matilda can hold her own around the bigger cats. The kittens have all found their furever homes and now Matilda is looking for her home and family.
Matilda pretty much ignores the dogs, but is selective with our older cats. She gets along well with some while others might get hissed or slapped if they get into her personal space.
Matilda, or Little Momma as she likes to be called, is an indoor/outdoor cat and is happiest when she can be outside during the day. She usually comes inside at night around bedtime. She follows us around the farm and loves for you to lean down and pet her. She will let you pick her up and hold her—for a short time, then its back to the floor or into the window. Just be advised the belly is off-limits.
Matilda loves her snacks. She eats both wet food and dry food. She is a good mouser and has kept the shop building mouse free. She also spends time at the chicken coop keeping the mice at bay.
She would do best as an only cat, or as fur sibling to an older male cat. She would do well in a home with dogs as long as the dogs do not chase her.
Matilda is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She would love to be part of your family! If she sounds like your kind of girl you can apply to adopt her at purple-paws.org.
Her adoption fee is $100 which helps cover her spay, vaccinations and other expenses.
