Meet Masa, an adorable and affectionate cat with a penchant for head rubs and cozy cuddles. Masa adores being pet and will often give you the cutest elevator butt and tail waggle in appreciation. Masa isn’t shy about letting you know when it’s time for more attention! Masa also likes to give little love nibbles while you're petting her. She's very vocal and will let you know when it is time for food, attention, or playtime. One of her unique quirks is wherever you go she goes; she faithfully follows you to the bathroom, bedroom or just about anywhere else. Masa ensures you share your day with her delightful company. An ideal day for Masa involves lounging by a sunny window, chasing her favorite feather toy, and snuggling up next to you for an evening movie marathon. She would thrive in a calm, loving household where she can be the center of attention and would enjoy a peaceful, yet playful environment. When it's playtime Masa has a lot of energy and really likes to let it out with her kicker and wand toys, but the laser pointer is her personal favorite. Masa is very curious when it comes to her surroundings, especially new ones. It's best for her to have ample time to explore her new home or anything that might draw her interest. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love and playful antics, Masa is the perfect match for you.

Currently in foster care in Koreatown. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation.

All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.

We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized.

We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline overpopulation crisis.

When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family.

If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
