Marshal came to us on June 23, 2024 from the Four Falls area and he desperately needed help. Found by some people on the side of the road the previous evening, he was in bad shape. As his rescuers were unable to take on the care this little stray would require, he came to us. Examination by his new vet friend revealed the following:

Marshall was approximately seven years old, having been born about June 23, 2017. He weighed only slightly over four pounds, so was emaciated. He had multiple wounds on his body, including one on his right hind paw that was infested by maggots. He had fleas, ear mites and was anemic. He also had upper respiratory infection which displayed in his eyes and in the mucous running from his nose which made it more difficult for him to breathe. Marshall was also very dehydrated and his coat was in a very poor condition. He tested positive for FIV.

Despite all this, he was very affectionate with us, grateful for the love, care, warmth, food and medical assistance he was now receiving. He was fed small portions of Royal Canin Gastro canned food mixed with water to help him regain proper hydration and his vet friend at the Florenceville Vet Clinic (FVC) took excellent care of him. His treatments include antibiotics, steroids, parasite control and laser therapy, as well as the nutritious diet he is now receiving.

We hope for a loving home for this little boy - he must have been out there on his own for a very long time to be in this shape, and he deserves no less than the very best of homes and family. We hope he is well enough to join a loving family soon. Donations to help with his care are very welcome.
