Marmalade Domestic Short Hair Avon, OH

Marmalade - Male. Neutered. Front Declawed. DOB: 7/4/2015. Current on vaccines and tested negative for feline aids and leukemia. He is SH orange and white. Marmalade is a special case for us here at Love A Stray. He was a very loved cat by his owner. She was unable to locate housing that would allow her to have a cat and thus keep her cat. He has been with us for a year. He is totally intolerable to the cage and thus has made it difficult for us to find him a home. He will not and cannot tolerate other cats or dogs. (So don't ask!) We are asking for a cat savvy adopter - who will give him the TLC and time and space he needs to transition to a new home. He is a big guy too !! We have spoken to his previous owner and he had no behavioral issues in his home in the past. We strongly feel that what he has is just plain cage aggression and sadness from being in a cage and thus does not show well and is looking for a home that will allow him to decompress and find his forever home. No small children and a quiet home is best. We realize that the urge will be for people to apply because he is declawed...please know that we ask that you review our write up and apply if you are that family or person !!
