Marley Domestic Short Hair Mix Minneapolis, MN

Marley is an affectionate six-year-old sweetheart looking for his forever home.

Marley is quite social. Everyone that has met him thinks he’s the sweetest. He likes his cheeks and ears rubbed, sleeps in the funniest positions, and purrs with his whole belly.

He enjoys being held and walked around (it’s a great workout), being dressed up, laying on laps during movies, and looking out windows (he would likely enjoy some supervised outdoor time as well—he used to be an outdoor cat).

He is a great listener and will talk back, especially if it’s about cuddles and food. His favorite toys are laser pointers and fuzzy balls. He would prefer a carpeted area for playing; he likes to do fast zooms across the floor. He also loves playing on/with small floor rugs, bunching them up and kicking them.

He is a BIG cat (20lbs!), and because of that he will need to stay on his diet until he loses a few more pounds. He has already done a great job of taking off weight in his foster home. He also has a small mass on his back paw near one of his nail beds. His vet recommended monitoring to see if it grows, but it hasn’t shown concerning signs of pain or discomfort.

Marley currently lives with three adults and a guinea pig in a small apartment. He grew up with kids. His foster family is unsure how he would do with dogs or other cats, but suspect he would be fine if introduced properly. He doesn’t mind loud areas if he wants pets, otherwise he’ll find a bed to lay under if he wants space. He takes lots of naps and snores, but will generally hang out in the same space as you. Marley warmed up well in his foster’s apartment and is very friendly to new people.

Marley would fit well for a variety of families and households, and has much love to give.

Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
