Meet Foster to Adopt Pending -- Marcus (FIV Positive)

Need a chill but purrrrrfect lap cat? Marcus is it!! This sweet boy is sooooo affectionate He loves belly rubs and laying next to his foster mom in bed.

Marcus is good with other kind cats and calm dogs, too. He is fostered with adoptable Ella Bell, and they get along very well. They are not bonded, but if someone is looking for two cats, they would be a good pair.

Marcus is awesome with kids, too!

Marcus is FIV positive so potential adopters will need to do their research about FIV.
They can live with non -FIV positive cats safely and happily. They can also live just as long, as long as they are kept indoors and provided regular vet care.

Marcus is neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. He tested positive for FIV and negative for Felv.

Interested in adopting one of our kitties?!

The first step in the adoption process is the adoption application which is located on our website rescueandadopt.org/adopt. There is a $15 application fee which is subtracted from the adoption fee. Make sure your application fee is submitted via our website and not on the Petstablished portal.

Our website includes a lot of info, including a FAQ page with lots of answers.

Once your application is reviewed we will contact you to schedule the home check video chat to ensure that you have all the basic supplies set up in an isolation/ introduction room and there are no health hazards to the cat in your home. We can also help answer any additional questions you may have at this time.

Next is the meet and greet with you and the adoptable kitty you're interested in. We are a foster system so we do not have a facility. Visits to meet an adoptable animal at a foster family is by appointment only. In the rare case that you decide your initial kitty isn't the right fit, we can introduce you to our many other types of cats to find the right fit.

Once you have settled on your new furry family member, the next step is to complete and sign the adoption contract with an ASHA volunteer to finalize the adoption.

Adoption Fees: $125 for kittens under a year old and NOT solid black. $100 for kittens under a year old and solid black. $75 for cats over a year old and NOT solid black. $50 for cats over a year who are solid black.
