MARCO Tuxedo & Domestic Short Hair Mix New York, NY

MARCO hung around a Bronx convent and was a favorite neighborhood kitty--friendly and outgoing. But as with all homeless cats, there was no one to take care of Marco when he was badly hurt. Luckily someone reported seeing him motionless beneath a bush for at least 2 days. We scooped him up and found that his leg had been shattered. Now Marco is a happy 3-legged fella; you should see him run! He is healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated, and FIV+. If you need to know more about FIV in cats--please let us know! Marco doesn't require any medication and is a healthy cat with reasonable expectation of a normal lifespan. He is interesting, quirky, and affectionate with good kitty-manners, ready for a permanent home and family. Marco is fine with other cats but may be best as a solo kitty.
We require adopters to fill out an application, have basic references checked, allow a home visit, and pay an adoption fee. We allow all adopters an up-to-2-week-long tryout period to determine if a cat is a good match for them. We will also help with tips and methods for introducing the kitten(s) to other pets, if needed. Would you like to meet our special guy?
