Well, Scruffy friends, we have an affectionate, lovable, huggable pair of bonded bros to introduce you to! Welcome, Marcel and Terrance! They are 5 years and 5 months young. Marcel, also goes by his nickname Mars...is a handsome grey and white boy. A quirky, aloof, little big guy, he is not a fan of being held, but he will allow it...if you insist upon it. He is Marcel, and that means you must pay attention to him...otherwise...expect him to rub up against you until you do! Marcel's favorite activity is finding a warm, cozy place...and sleeping in it.

Terrance, appropriately nicknamed Bear, is a black and white tuxedo boy. He happily demonstrated how he got his nickname on my fellow Scruffy volunteer...he is an affectionate, vocal, purring, bear-hugging machine! Terrance has lots of love to give, and he will jump into your arms to show you. Marcel and Terrance are avid explorers and enjoy being in high places.

These sweet boys will need a home where they can have time to decompress and get comfortable, they have moved around quite a bit, and they just need a stable, loving family. They LOVE each other but do not love other cats. They should be the only cats in the home. They have previously lived with a calm dog, and they all coexisted nicely. We are unsure how they will be with children. Marcel and Terrance are ready to bid adieu to shelter life and bonjour to your heart!

All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies, and distemper vaccinations, proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing, flea treatment, deworming, and an exam by a licensed veterinarian.

Our shelter hours are by appointment only and are not open to the public. Many of our cats and kittens are located in foster homes. An adoption application MUST be submitted and approved before meeting our cats/kittens. We do this for the safety of our fosters and potential adopters.

Our adoption process includes the following:

1. Adoption Application
To be considered for this cat(s) or kitten(s), you MUST complete an adoption application:
- Through our website (preferred) at www.scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/
- Email a copy to scruffypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com
- Drop off a hard copy to either of our partner PetSmart locations (Johnston or North Smithfield)
- Mail a hard copy to Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886

2. Veterinary Reference
Please call your vet ahead of time to give permission to release records to our adoption team. Out-of-state adoptions typically require an exceptional veterinary reference and are at the discretion of our adoption team.

3. Proof of Home Ownership OR Landlord Approval
If renting, the landlord's contact information must be provided so our adoption team can seek approval.

4. Home Visit
Please make sure you are located in our vicinity. We are based out of Warwick, RI. Due to COVID-19, we are currently doing virtual home visits until further notice.
