Meet Manny

Manny is an eight year old orange tabby gentleman who we trapped after he was lost and missing for 2 years. We found his previous owner through his microchip, but they had already adopted two more cats and couldn’t take him back. But we couldn't just put him back on the street after being lost for 2 years. So we put him in a foster home to see how he would do. Since being in foster he has done great! He is a friendly, happy guy who loves to snuggle, curl up with a good book, and help you when you are on the computer. He absolutely loves and adores kittens, and does well with adult cats too. He would also do fine as a solo cat, as long as you are willing to spend time with him when you are home.

Manny is FIV positive, but don’t let that scare you. FIV cats live normal lifespans and require no special care other than living indoors only. FIV cannot be spread to people or dogs. It can be spread to other cats, although it does not spread easily. FIV is not spread through casual contact, through eating together, grooming each other, or sharing litterboxes. It is only spread through deep bites. So cats with FIV can live with other non-FIV cats as long as they are friendly and there is no fighting.

Manny is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He is FIV positive, Feline Leukemia Negative, and Heartworm Negative.
