Mama Mia has led a turbulent life, starting out as an abandoned house cat who had numerous litters for 3 years until an older woman brought her inside with one of her kittens. She was a good lady who had them both spayed and vaccinated. Sadly, nine months later the woman was losing her apartment and had to move in with her son who wouldn't allow the cats. This bonded pair ended up at our shelter in a foster home for 4 months... until eventually, what we thought was a great adoption day for them, turned into a nightmare. The new owner had a faulty screen and Mama fell out the window and remained lost for 3 wks. By luck, she was spotted living in a rock wall and a trap was set to catch her. Back at the shelter, without her daughter and 2 pounds lighter, we are trying again. She needs a secure, loving home! She is sensitive and shy at first but has a lot of love to give. She craves attention and will do best in a quiet home where she doesn't feel threatened. She used to sit with her first owner on the couch, enjoying the petting. Can she finally find her perfect forever home?
