Meet Mama Merry
Hi! My name is Mama Merry.
Where do I start? I'm a younger adult, former stray, quiet sweetheart. I've spent most of my short life outdoors. I roamed from house to house in search of food- food not only for myself, but for each litter of kittens I've had. Sometimes it wasn't easy, especially in winter.
I feel like I once might have had a home, or have at least had lots of human interaction, because I'm such an affectionate girl, once I get to know you.
My favorite spot in the shelter is by the window sill. I like to stay there and wait until my shelter mom gets close so I can head bop her. I LOVE getting pets too. I'm getting so comfortable now that I will even meow at my shelter mom when I need some extra lovins.
The downside of living a life on the streets is that it does take me a little bit of time to feel comfortable with someone new. Once I let you pet me, I turn into the most affectionate cat you've ever met. I just hope someone will give me the time to show them this side of me. My shelter mom always says it's the most rewarding thing when a shy, scared kitty starts to trust you.
Also at the shelter are my son, Saint, and daughter, Gingersnap. It's so nice that my family can be here, safe and warm, with me. And it's so funny that we ALL look identical!
I'm approx. 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated and my children have all tested negative for FeLV/FIV. I'm ready to go!
After all I've been through, I think I deserve a happily ever after. Can I come home with you?
