Magpie's Story
Meet Magpie (18 mos)— the hilarious little troublemaker who will turn your home into a sitcom (and your camera roll into gold).

Magpie is known for her comedy routines, including hopping around with her back arched like a tiny kangaroo, launching surprise attacks from under furniture, and stealing anything she can carry. Socks, pens, shiny objects, and especially high-value snacks often end up hidden in her secret stash spots. Her favorite toy is a feather bundle attached to an elastic string on the living room ceiling—she’ll grab the feathers and run full-speed until the string can’t stretch any farther, then snap back across the room like a furry slingshot. It’s impossible not to laugh.

But Magpie isn’t all mischief. She has a very affectionate side and loves pets, seeks out attention, and curls up under the blankets at bedtime for snuggles. She enjoys being carried (until something more interesting catches her eye) and will happily follow you into the bathroom to watch the shower—water droplets are endlessly fascinating to her. With new people, she warms up eventually, and with older children she takes a little time but hangs out with them once she trusts them too.

Magpie has been in foster care for a little over a year and currently lives with lots of other cats—all of whom she somehow manages to boss around without causing fights. She’s confident, clever, and full of personality, but underneath all the theatrics is a genuinely loving cat who wants a home of her own. Magpie has not been tested with dogs and would prefer a cat-savvy dog or a home without them. She does well with other cats, especially those who respect that she’s in charge.

This brave girl also survived FIP as a kitten and is now fully healthy. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, and tested for FIV/FeLV.

Magpie will thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of cuddles and comedy, appreciates a one-of-a-kind personality, and wouldn’t mind becoming the lucky human behind her inevitable viral Instagram account. If you’re ready for a funny, affectionate, unforgettable cat who will keep you smiling every single day, Magpie is ready to meet you.

If you're interested in adopting, the first step is to fill out the application here:
http://bit.ly/3VDJfhm
