Meet Maeve

Maeve is a 1-year-old attention-loving kitten looking for her forever home! She is scheduled to be spayed and receive her vaccinations on Thursday, January 26th.

Maeve lives to be pet and can frequently be found head-butting hands and legs to get humans' attention to be scratched. She just discovered her voice can be used to help with this as well, and loves to meow until she gets some pets. If her foster is busy, she is happy to nap on the couch. Maeve is finding her playful side and is starting to show interest in chasing toys. She's quickly adjusting to indoor house life but she has a favorite spot under the bed when loud noises startle her. They don't set her back long and she loves meeting new people that can give her more attention.

Maeve's newest hobby is following her fosters around the apartment to learn all their habits and track when they'll sit down on the couch so she can lay on their lap. She's learning a lot about the inner city life and enjoys watching cars pass in the window but would love some birds or nature to watch if her future home has a window for her.

Maeve uses most of her energy following humans around and is slowly adjusting some of that focus to playing with toys. Maeve is a night owl and uses the quiet time to explore new corners and spots in the home. When she's content with her explorations for the day, she likes to sleep in the bed or on the ground next to it.

Maeve is currently living in a small apartment with one human. She is content in an apartment but would also do well in a house. She has not been introduced to other cats, dogs, or children. It's likely that with her slightly skittish nature she would not do well with small children that cannot read her boundary signals. She's had an extremely positive turnaround from her suspected stray life and is showing a ton of promise, but a quieter home without a lot of chaos is preferred.
