Introducing Madame President!

We aren't sure whether it was a premonition or just a happy coincidence, but when our intake director named this girl Madame President, she must have sensed that this beautiful kitty was destined for great things.

When Madame P first arrived at our adoption lounge, she was a little frightened and unsure of herself. And who could blame her? She had either lost her home or had never had one. But she was sweet, so we know someone had once shown her kindness. Within a short time, Madame P was overcoming her fears and becoming quite confident. Now she's a playful girl, who is at heart a peacemaker but not afraid to let the other cats know who is in charge if they try to steal her toys or her food. She'll play that President card if she needs to!

Although Madame President would probably do OK with another cat who is not interested in lots of roughhouse playing or chasing, she would do equally well as a single cat. She loves to be with people, but she is also fine just chilling out on her own in a sunny window or on a soft bed. As you can see by her photos, she also likes to help with laundry and participate in our Cats 'n' Mats yoga sessions!

We think she's pretty wonderful--and also wonderfully pretty! She has an adorable "cow" coat and huge green eyes. And have you ever seen a more adorable kitty mustache??? She wears it well, don't you think?

You can meet Madame President at our Adoption Lounge during open hours, but better yet, contact our adoption team (adoptions@tenthlifecats.org) ahead of time to make sure we can provide a quiet space or time where you can meet this girl without our other cats trying to distract you. Madame P will be more confident and more "herself" without all those other silly cats around!
