Lyra was born in May 2021. Her litter was trapped outside as older kittens, and have come a long way since then and is looking for her forever home.

Hello there, I’m Lyra and I am almost a two years old. I came to rescue from an impound with my four siblings. I was pretty scared at first, but have warmed up to people and LOVE getting pets.

I do fine with other cats and am okay with cat savvy dogs that won’t chase me when I run. I prefer smaller dogs that leave us alone, but have been around larger dogs too and done okay.

My favorite things in life are being brushed and eating wet food. I love chatting and will talk your ear off whether you want to listen or not. I am not a big fan of being held, but will tolerate for a minute or so.

I will need a quieter home with older kids who will just let me do my own thing at my own pace, preferably 12 years or older with cat experience. I am required to go to a home with another cat as I enjoy the company. I am ready to find my forever family, is that you?

Adoption fee is $230 + tax (no checks)

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about an animals personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
