Meet Luna

From the foster: Luna was living on the streets in my neighborhood, the neighbor who was feeding her suspected that she was dumped by someone because of how people friendly she is. She was very eager to come inside! Luna loves humans, but she is not a fan of other cats. Protecting her babies while she was on the street has made her very wary of other cats. There are 3 resident cats in her current foster home and though they have all tried, she is not interested in friendship and attacks if they are in the same room together too long. She would love to have a home where she is the only cat and can have all the attention to herself.
Luna loves her people! She loves to sit in your lap or right next to you, she will even lick your hand to let you know she wants to be petted. She gives kisses and will put her paws on both your shoulders and give you a great big hug. She loves to play with cat toys and is able to entertain herself with them, but she also likes for you to play with her. She enjoys sitting in the window soaking up the sunshine. She also really likes to watch bird and squirrel YouTube videos. While Luna enjoys people she doesn't like to be carried around too much and will let you know her boundaries when she is getting tired of being touched. She is not aggressive, but I think she would prefer not to be around small children who move fast and won't always respect her boundaries.
Luna's foster home has a 70lb dog, and while she wasn't keen on the dog when they first met, she will now lay near the dog on the couch and even tries to groom her a bit. She would probably do fine with a dog sibling as long as the dog is pretty laid back and will give her space.
She is litterbox trained and we haven't had any issues in that area. She enjoys both wet and dry food and she now comes running when you get the treats out.
She's very sweet and mostly a very chill cat who would love to finally have a home of her own.

Luna is a healthy 2 yo spayed female. Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to sending an inquiry or asking to set up a meeting. (See application at http://nwac-oregon.org/our-adoption-process/) Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to put you in touch with the foster family to ask any questions, set up an online meeting, or to set up a masked in person meet. If you submit an inquiry instead of an application, this will delay the process and increase the chance someone else will meet YOUR dream cat before you do! If we get an inquiry, we will ask you to fill out an application before we respond to questions.
-The $140 adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, de-worming, current flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam. Unless otherwise noted, they have also had a negative test for FIV and FeLV. Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.
