Luigi Persian & Domestic Long Hair Mix Old Bridge, NJ

Luigi has moderate Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) and came to us from Kuwait. As true with most CH cats he is an outgoing, affectionate, chatty, and funny guy with huge personality! It is impossible to spend five minutes with him and not fall in love! He doesn't save his love just for his favorite people...he is affectionate with everyone! Luigi does get along well with other friendly, easy going cats.

Luigi gets around well. He is classified as moderate as he can get around on his own but stumbles often. Some considerations for his potential adopters to know:
•Luigi will need to be a strictly indoor cat...no exceptions. CH cats simply do not have the ability to protect themselves or the ability to flee a bad situation quickly.
•He can use a litterbox. He just needs a litter box with low entry and high sides. CH cats can be messier than non-CH cats. Due to his long fur we are using pellet litter as clumping litter can clump in his fur.
•Luigi has an easier time balancing on
carpet or rugs
•Large raised food & water dishes are preferred as it makes it easier for him
•Modified furniture helps to protect him from getting hurt when he falls (e.g. adding bumpers, pillows, ect)
•Stairs would be dangerous for Luigi because of his balance issues. In a home with stairs, we would recommend a baby or pet gate to block his access.
• When you're not home or unable to supervise, we recommend giving him a home base (eg bedroom)
• CH cats can do most things a non ch cat can just in a different way. For example since they cat jump well they tend to climb.

We are only considering experienced cat owners for Louis who are able to provide an excellent vet reference on cats they have owned.

We will not consider applications from people that reside further than 2 hours away from Old Bridge, NJ.

Adoption fee for a kitten is $200 and a pair is $350. An adult cat is $150 and a pair is $250. Specialty cats vary in adoption fees.Please contact us for adoption fees on purebred cats.

All Kittens/Cats come with the vaccines that they are eligible for, FIV/FeLV testing, spay/neuter, microchip, and deworming.
