Is she a cloud? She sure looks like one!

Lucy is a 3-year-old cat who is super sweet...and super fat. At 16 lbs, this feline has a small frame and is looking to loose about 6-8 lbs to get a slimmer build and help her in the future.

This is the tougher part, Lucy can't, um, clean her private bits. She needs some extra help with wiping after. It took us a while to get her smelling better and looking cleaner, but it's working! Lucy always uses the litter box, but with her big ol belly in the way, it often drags and leaves her feeling no so clean.

While Lucy may growl with displeasure, this lady is all talk! She is easy to clean and when you brush her after, she just loves it!

Since Lucy has been the only pet in the home, she will likely prefer that set up again. With her diet, it would also be tricky to track her calories with other pets around.

She is genuinely such a nice cat and in the right home and with the right care, she will be feeling so much better!

We never know how quickly a pet will be adopted. Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need.

Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
