Meet Lucy

Lucy was found rummaging through a dumpster behind an elementary school. She was microchipped, but unfortunately the person to whom the microchip was registered never responded to attempts to contact from the microchip company, so it appears sweet Lucy was "lost" on purpose. :(

But because of the chip, I do at least know some of her backstory -- she was adopted as a kitten from the Maryland SPCA in late 2014, so she is six years old. She has been checked out by a vet and is in good health, and she's had her vaccines updated and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

She is VERY friendly and sweet, albeit a little bit timid at first. She takes the adage "curiosity killed the cat" VERY seriously and is the rare cat who is not into everything! She needs a bit of encouragement to explore beyond her comfort zone.

She's got super soft "bunny fur" and is a great snuggle buddy. She's very tolerant and gentle and would be a great "starter cat" for someone looking for their first pet!

She does not seem to mind other cats, although she's a laid-back type so probably would do best with relatively low-energy kitty buddies. She is also living with a cat-friendly dog.

Lucy is not part of Walter Rescue but is being listed here as a courtesy. If you have questions about her, please email Erin at eharty@gmail.com, and you can find out more about the adoption process (including an application) here: http://bit.ly/pigtowncats
