Meet Lucy
Lucy knows how you feel. Sometimes she wants to reach out and be petted and loved. And sometimes, she just doesn't. Maybe that's when Lucy remembers her darker days, although most days she is dreaming of her own real home. While she is very loving and affectionate, Lucy also likes her space and needs an adopter who accepts her for the way she is. Lucy came to ECAH Animals with a terrible skin infection due to a food allergy, and she was miserable from being so itchy. That's how she lived for the first 2 years of her life. After treatment for her infected skin, Lucy's fur has come back, it is shiny and glossy, and her skin is much much better. Lucy needs to be on a high-quality diet. Lucy really would like a place to call her own, and thinks she deserves a chance.
Lucy is only tolerant of other cats if they leave her alone, and would therefore prefer to be an only cat. She would be OK in a home with another cat, but is unlikely to engage in play with another cat. She is ok with dogs. Lucy was born in 2006.
