A volunteer writes: Wrapped up like a donut on his Kuranda bed, Lucky Hazel had his back to me when I first sat down by his condo. He peeked over his shoulder, meowed a hello and was about to go back to sleep, but then he paused for a moment. I watched his hopeful thoughts dance by as he considered that I might be there to visit with him. Of course I was! Once he realized it was him I was there to see, Lucky Hazel turned around to share a great big meow, and his award winning stretch routine. Though he had been a circle a moment before, Lucky Hazel leaned on his side to drape his paws over the edge of his little bed, tucking his head into my hand and purring his way right into my heart. We may not know much about Lucky Hazel's history prior to coming to the shelter, but after a few moments together, he hopped off his bed for a proper introduction and I fell in love.
