Lucas's Story

Lucas is the wild child of his litter. He’s a confident little explorer who is as lovable as he is playful — and he loves to play, play, PLAY! He’ll briefly pause for investigations and then play some more. Lucas can play a little hard (in a sensory-overload way, not a mean way), so he might not be suitable for a home with young children, but he definitely needs a house with plenty of activity (and at least one feline playmate of similar age and energy level). In a too-quiet home, he might become bored and could find himself in mischief. He is a cool little kitty but probably would do best with experienced cat owners who can make sure his environment is stimulating and full of enrichment. In his foster home, he loves the cat wheel, and he enthusiastically climbs up towers and hurls himself off them. His agility is impressive, and this boy can almost soar. He would love a forever home with wall stairs, bridges and/or a catio.

Lucas has a quirky and fun habit of jumping on your back the minute you bend over to feed or scoop (He thinks scooping the litter box means he must get in while you are doing it. He’s very persistent, too. We like to think he thinks he’s helping with the household chores.) and kissing your ears and face.

“The first time he jumped on my back, I was so surprised,” his foster mom recalled. “I turned my head and this crazy little boy comes over, boops my nose, and starts licking my cheek. I mean how could I get upset over that? Plus side is he didn’t extend his claws, ever.”

For anyone looking for a fun, energetic, loving kitty, Lucas is your boy. He’s hilarious to watch and very much athletic, and his kisses are just precious.

Born in early March 2025, Lucas is neutered, will be up-to-date on his shots at time of adoption, is microchipped and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Questions?
