Louie's Story

Louie is a sleek, shiny adventurer with a playful spirit and a heart full of curiosity — once he feels safe. He can be very shy at first and will need a patient adopter who can give him time to settle in and come out of his shell. With gentle care and a little space to adjust, he’ll likely be rubbing against your legs for attention within a week or two. It takes him time to ask for pets but some patience will earn you his love and affection. Underneath that initial hesitation is a sweet boy who loves to bond with his people. He isn’t a lap cat looking for snuggles, but he wants to be near you and loves in his own quirky way.

Louie loves to play with other cats and needs an active kitty friend in his home. He loves to race around with his foster siblings and he especially loves to wrestle and roughhouse. He would be a great companion for a cat needing a bestie to zoom with. He also loves to snuggle and groom his buddies.

One of Louie’s most charming quirks? He loves to dig in his water bowl — and he’s a clever explorer who’s been known to open file cabinet drawers and even sneak into the pantry! Once he’s comfortable, his playful nature really comes through.

Est. DOB May 2023, he is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

He is an FIP Survivor. He received 84 days of antiviral injections and passed an additional 84 day observation period. FIP is a mutation of feline coronavirus that can happen in some cats who have lower immune systems or who have a genetic predisposition. There is no continued care required after treatment. Most cats have been exposed to feline coronavirus and only a small percentage will experience a mutation. You can read more about FIP here: https://www.sockfip.org

Adopters will receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws).

Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.

Apply: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MFR/Cat
