Meet Lizzy

Lizzy is a darling Siamese mix kitten who is just a bundle of fun! Lizzy was originally found in the state of Georgia and brought to another area rescue in Maryland. We took over the care of Lizzy when she was a young kitten as the other rescue was having some trouble with her. We soon discovered that our little Liz was struggling due to a severe food allergy. Once we got her on the right food for her, it was smooth sailing!

Lizzy is a pretty energetic kitten who loves to play with wand toys, chase balls, and play with laser toys. When she isn’t playing, she can often be found napping by herself in her bunk beds, in a dog bed, or her favorite place ever: the office chairs! Due to being a Siamese mix, she is quite vocal and isn’t afraid to let you know if you have disappointed her. She will also cry to let you know she needs a good snuggle. Lizzy loves to give kisses and she sometimes nibbles or licks on fingertips for comfort. Her foster jokes that she has the attitude of a dragon, so the nickname Lizard came to be!

Siamese cats are prone to digestive issues and food sensitivities/allergies. Lizzy will need to be kept on a strict diet due to her food allergies. She does not require prescription food, but does need to be on food that does not contain poultry (chicken, turkey, etc).

Lizzy gets along with dogs of all sizes and gets along best with cats that let her do her own thing. Liz loves to snuggle with her best kitty friend, Meadow, and they even share meals and play together! She would do best with a kitty that has a similar personality to her friend Meadow. Lizzy sometimes gets a little cranky causing her to bite, so she will do best in a home without young children or elderly family members in it. Please know that Lizzy does not do this with the intent to hurt, but instead to communicate that she would like alone time. She is a lot like a senior kitty inside a kitten body!
