Meet Little Joy

Little Joy is an engaging little girl, about ten months old. Like most cats, she's a bit shy with people she doesn't know well, but, once trust has been earned, she's a true sweetheart. She loves to be pet, and loves to play, so she should be adopted into a home where she'll get plenty of both. While we have not observed her with kids, it's likely that she would do well with respectful kids who understand how to treat cats. She seems to be afraid of dogs and other cats, so she should be the only four-legged creature in her home. Joy is rather petite and seems likely to retain a kittenish appearance for life. It's a bit hard to visualize anyone not liking her. She's a rather easy cat who would be suitable for a first-time adopter.

She has been been
- spayed
- vaccinated against rabies and distemper
- tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
- examined by a vet

Her adopter will receive her medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. She's being fostered in North Reading.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to her and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for her as we try to match people with the right cats.

During the pandemic, we've learned that fosters supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via video app, and adopters making their adoption decisions based accordingly has streamlined the adoption process. We are exploring the possibility of in-person meetings as the state gradually reopens.
