Lily's Story

Beautiful Lily lost her battle with FeLuk. She went quickly, much quicker than expected. She was active and loving and within a couple of days of becoming lethargic, she was gone. Lily crossed the Rainbow Bridge and will be waiting for her loved ones to join her someday.

This is Lily. She was dumped at the rescue shelter and is the sweetest purr monster. She loves attention and wants to be petted and loved on. Sadly, Lily tested positive for Feline Leukemia. Currently, Lily is healthy and happy. She has free run of the rabbit rescue center and makes sure there are no free loading mice. As long as she's healthy, you would never know she was FeLV which affects her ability to withstand infections. FeLV cats can be contagious to other cats and so she must be an only cat or kept with other FeLV cats.

Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is a retrovirus that infects cats.
