Meet Lil Ruthie – The Sweetest Little Shadow
Lil Ruthie is an adorable, gentle young cat with the softest fur and the sweetest spirit.
Rescued near the Ogden Recycling Bins in Northern Wilmington, Ruthie has come a long way from her rough start in life. At 11 months old, this beautiful Bombay black girl now embraces the comforts of indoor life but still enjoys a bit of adventure. She loves using the pet door during the day to explore and bask in the sunshine, then always returns home safely before nightfall to rest and recharge.
Though shy at first, Ruthie warms up quickly once she knows she’s safe. With a little patience and love, she becomes a devoted little shadow—meeting you at the door, weaving around your legs, and offering quiet affection.
She would thrive in a peaceful home with another gentle cat who can be her friend and role model.
If you’re looking for a tender-hearted companion who will quietly brighten your world and make every day a little softer, Lil Ruthie may just be your perfect match.
All cats and kittens are vaccinated with FVRCP and Rabies if old and large enough for their vaccinations. All cats are neuter or spayed before final adoption date. All cats are also microchipped!
Our adoption process:
1) Fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofelines.org/adopt
2) Meet with the cat in their foster home
3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules.
** We are not able to hold cats for a particular family longer than about 7 days, unless the cat is available for pre-adoption which will be noted on their profile. Please wait to apply until you are ready to take a cat home. **
We are a completely foster based nonprofit rescue run by volunteers. We do this work out of love.
