Meet Libby

Where did Libby come from? And how did she get so sweet?

We may never find the answers to those questions, but what we do know is that Libby is going to make her forever family VERY happy.

She’s a seven pound, short-to-medium-hair calico with gorgeous green eyes and is around one year old. Not much is known about Libby’s origins. She started appearing at a feral cat colony and had a friendly personality perfect for family life. A kind volunteer got her off the streets, but Libby had to spend most of her time in a cage while quarantined from the resident cats. Now that she has her own big room and cozy bed to lounge on at her foster home, she seems thrilled to be getting a taste of the indoor cat life.

While Libby may be a little shy upon arrival (she’s not a fan of car rides), she warms up super quickly and absolutely adores getting love. She even snuggled with the vet before and after her shots! Her tail will quiver out of happiness when she sees you, and she’ll eagerly meow hello and brush up against you for pets. She likes being held and even tolerates getting her nails trimmed!

All she wants is to be near you and cuddle. She thinks toys are fun, but her main priority in life is to find the nearest human who will give her the lovin’ she desires. This calico cutie will often be found kneading biscuits on blankets, in your arms, or even in the air. Seriously, the only time she stops purring is when she falls asleep cradled in her foster humans’ arms!

We don’t know if Libby has ever been around dogs, but she met the resident cats and was totally unphased when they hissed at her. She was friendly and curious toward them, so we’re confident that she’d do fine in a house with other cats.

She’s generally pretty quiet except when she gives a loud meow to greet you or when you bring her a can of Fancy Feast – her favorite. Libby has had no issues with food or using the litter box, though she seems to enjoy digging around in there like a fuzzy little archaeologist and makes a bit of a mess. We recommend a litter box with a lid for this gal!

You will be hard pressed to find a cat who is this loving and sweet right off the bat. So, if Libby sounds like the perfect companion for you, submit an application ASAP! A cat this angelic won’t be waiting long.

Libby is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and negative for FIV/FeLV.
