My name is Shelby and I was born outdoors in my former owner’s backyard with my 3 other litter mates Tessa, Peaches and Roscoe. We were happy as outdoor sometimes indoor cats. We came inside when it was cold or stormy. I love to sit on my owner’s lap and stayed inside more than my brothers and sisters. The only problem with being outside is there is a very big owl that hunts every night. One night, the big owl got Roscoe. He picked Roscoe up with his claws. Somehow, Roscoe managed to escape the talons of the owl. The owl dropped him. Roscoe ran home and was terribly injured. He had over 50 stitches on his back from the owl’s claws! I guess it is not very safe outside. I am fine with moving indoors for good. Tessa and Peaches want to live outside though. So being outside or inside was the big debate for a while. But, my owner decided to move into a condominium, and we will not be able to move with them because we are “outside” cats, so they decided to give us up.

We are about 10 months old and looking for a new home. We can be together or separated. I would like to live in a home with a family. I am okay to stay indoors. Since I grew up outside, my momma cat taught us to be afraid of humans we do not know. So, I am a little afraid of strangers. I am living at the Frisky Cat Café in St Augustine. I do not like it here because there are too many strangers. When my mom is her by herself, I cuddle with her all day. I love to be a lap kitty and I let my mom pick me up. I just love the attention! I have the typical friendly orange tabby personality. I both purr and meow a lot and will always want to be near my favorite human. They are known for being very friendly and affectionate.
