Laverne is a friendly and sweet-natured kitten with a gorgeously soft, charcoal grey coat you can’t help but want to pet. She is the perfect balance of independence and cuddly. A big fan of smooches and pettings, you can lift and cuddle her and she will happily lull in your arms purring away until the urge to run and play overtake her and then, off she goes! Laverne loves wands, lasers, and ball toys. She loves to perch in the window and on your lap during the day, and in the evenings and mornings, explore under the bed blankets and sometimes snuggle in for a little cuddle before she finds her own spot to snooze.

Laverne has excellent litter box habits and must supervise as you clean the boxes. Once cleaned, she loves to inspect it and can get a bit excited about her clean box, so a higher sided litter box is recommended just for this initial “clean box hurray!” moment.

Laverne plays well with her sister Shirley and other foster kittens. She has been rock-steady in support and comfort to her sister Shirley, who is undergoing treatment for FIP. Without Laverne’s constant presence, Shirley would not have done so well so quickly. The two sisters are tightly bonded and find absolute joy in each other.

This wonderful, affectionate pair of love and energy will be bringers of joy and laughter to any family fortunate enough to snatch them up! You will never be able to let them go, and your world will be complete with Laverne and Shirley happily in the centre of it!

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it’s twice the fun for you, and half the work!
