Meet Laken
Laken is an extremely sweet boy who wants nothing but to be held and cuddled. He will start purring as soon as you touch him and gives headbutts when being held. He is the perfect lap pet!
FOCA received a call about nine kittens who needed a home from a local mobile home park. Laken (M) was very sick when he arrived and we believed we were going to lose him. But this strong boy pulled through! However, now he has some damage in his lung tissue that will cause him to have heavy breathing for the remainder of his life. Also during the vet visits we noticed his back legs were a little weak. The vet suspects it is a genetic defect in his hip. It doesn't effect him much now, but it could cause him problems in the future. We're hoping he can find a quiet special home where stressors will be limited.
