**You can stop in to meet Kugen to see if he is the one for you! He is located in the kitty condo in the lobby at Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic in Waverly. We are working together with this wonderful vet to help save more lives. If you would like to adopt him, please do apply. Kugen was from an accidental litter in Waverly, Iowa. We are helping the owner of the mama cat get spayed sometime soon. Kugen is a Waverly Pet Rescue kitten now. He is now up to date on shots, tested FeLV/FIV negative, and neutered. He is living in a foster home.

Kugen is about 10-weeks-old as of May 12th, 2021. He is as cute as can be. Kugen is very sweet and friendly. He has also been around other cats, dogs, and children and does well. Kugen enjoys playing. He is entertaining to watch. He does of course as a kitten gets into mischief sometimes because he is quite curious.

Kugen has a brother named, Mugen, if you would like to adopt 2 kittens. If not, he does need to go to a home with another cat or kitten friend to play with. He cannot be an only cat. (Mugen was adopted! Kugen would love to grow up in a forever home too!)

Kugen's adoption fee is $95.00.


WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
