Meet Kintsugi
**COURTESY POST. Bear with me it's long ? This is Kintsugi. He was pulled from a hoarding house where he spent all his 1.5-2 years in a walk in closet size room with approximately 25 other cats, one litter box and one water bowl. I have had him about 4 months. It took weeks for him to come out from his comfy cave. He was broken and confused.
At first, i couldnt touch him at all. He liked when you are on the ground, then he runs back and forth until you touch him, then he wants pets. I cannot yet pick him up and he is not a lap cat but he is making substantial progress as you can see! He has the cutest meow when he wants your attention! He sleeps in the bed with me and when I wake up-game on:it's cuddle time. Morning pets are the best!!
He tolerates my neutral cats and tries to play with my active ones. They dont quite understand him, though. He likes to play with toys, watch birds, and eat treats and catnip. He is neutered and UTD on vaccines. He combo tested negative and is microchipped.
He is in need of a quiet understanding home with someone who will work with him, and let him learn to be a cat. It will be an incredibly rewarding process, as it has been for me these past few moths. He had his neck ruff cut out and we are working on some final knots, but he has a thin shiny soft coat of long fur. He has unique coloration as well! Please fill out an APA application at apa-pets.org. It will be referred to APA volunteer Alyssa Underwood (please reach out to me with any questions!) even though he is not currently an APA cat.
