Meet Kiko
Kiko is a beautiful friendly and affectionate ginger orange Persian mix cat. Kiko is approximately ~6 years old, although we do not know his exact age. Kiko is fixed, vaccinated and blood tested negative. Kiko has kidney disease and we prefer he live with a family that understands the needs of a cat with this disease. It does require more routine veterinary care and an Rx diet. Overall Kiko is healthy and happy, playful and very vocal.
Kiko has a familiar back story for cats in the Middle East. He was found and saved from the streets of Cairo Egypt where his owners left him without shelter, food or water. This is an all too familiar scenario for rescuers in Egypt, who are trying to save so many homeless cats as they possibly can with little to no resources. Most of the street cats in Egypt are purebred or purebred mix cats.
Despite his terrible start to life, Kiko is one of our friendliest cats who loves people, attention and affection. He is not only beautiful on the outside but just as beautiful inside, with a personality to match that cute face!
Kiko does get a long with other docile MALE cats, but he is a dominant cat.
He may be ok with a dominant female, but we find he tries to mate with our female cats in foster care and this is something we believe is part of being an unaltered male street cat for most of his life. If you have other cats at home it is important that they are accepting of a dominant male cat, if not there will be issues between the cats which causes stress on the cats.
