Meet Kibby

All hail Queen Kibby! Kibby's impressive looks have everyone begging for her attention. Well we all want her love and affection but she is holding all the cards and she knows it, folks! She has a dominant personality and can be intimidating when meeting new people for the first time, but once you've earned her trust she will show you her calm and loving side, and become your most loyal companion. Earning Kibby's respect is like a little like pledging a sorority: yes there might be some hazing and yes there could be moments when you question if it's even worth all the effort until one day you are IN and then BAM you know that YES IT WAS WORTH IT because now we are bonded FOR LIFE and she will be begging YOU for attention!

Breed: Long Haired Gray Tabby
Age: 5 Years
Surrendered From: previous owner
Fostered In: Cambridge

Kibby is really coming out of her shell in foster and becoming the lap cat that you see in these photos. She loves to play with her favorite toy laser and explore all of her surroundings. She's not at all shy and would likely sprawl out to claim her space rather than hide. Once tired from a good play session, she will turn into a cuddly lap cat (but she's not used to being picked up, so just wait for her to come to you).

Kibby doesn't like change, so when she meets new people she becomes afraid that it means she will need to leave again and this makes it hard for her to bond with potential adopters. Kibby also has a habit of growling but it's more of a curious trait-- she even growls when she's grooming! Once she gets settled in her home, she feels comfortable to be her loving self. She will need a patient and understanding adopter to help her through the difficult transition. Might you be the one?
