Meet Kat - Good with Dogs - Strawberry Litter
APPLICATION IS FIRST STEP!
Meet the Strawberry Kittens - Kat & Kitty Moo Moo! They are fluff balls full of energy and playfulness!! These littermates and are about 10 weeks old!
These adorable kittens were born outside on the streets of Queens and were brought indoors just in time for socialization and vetting! Now that they have learned that humans come with love and yummy food, they are ready to spend the rest of their lives indoors with their furrever humans!!
The kittens must go home as a pair or to a home with a young feline or canine playmate. Double adoptions will always be prioritized.
This litter tested positive for FIV Antibodies as their mama is positive and antibodies were passed thru nursing. Kittens born to FIV positive mothers are at low risk for actual infection, although they often initially test positive due to the presence of maternal antibodies. Most often, once nursing abates, in time, the antibodies leave their system and they test negative. Unfortunately, the test for this virus checks for antibodies and not actual virus, so the test often is not a accurate diagnostic tool in kittens and they will be retested around 4 months old.
Don't let this deter from giving these kittens a loving home. Even if they were truly positive, most cats with FIV live long healthy lives just like negative cats and studies have shown that most often the virus is slow acting and can take years to have a noticeable effect on health, if it even does. In fact, many cats never progress to the point of immune deficiency. You can read more about FIV and Kittens by copying and pasting this link https://www.fivcats.com/FIV/fiv_kittens.html
All four are current with vaccines and will be spayed around 4 months old.
If you would like to virtually meet them, please complete the application on this link https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ADVR/Cat
All of AdvoCat Rescue's cats and kittens are fostered in private homes. We require a completed pre-application to be submitted prior to scheduling potential adopters to meet them.
