Meet -Karen in Maine - Courtesy Post
Karen is a senior girl that had been living as a stray for quite sometime. She was being fed by a local community member, however that person passed away and the other community members became concerned for Karen so they trapped her and contacted us for help.
Karen was quite skinny and VERY matted when she came into rescue, upon further examination it was determined that she only has 2 teeth left, so I am sure trying to defend herself and eat in the wild must have been a challenge. It would have also been difficult for her to eat the crunchy cat food that community members were leaving for her.
Karen is now up to date on vaccines, spayed, and has completed feline testing (all negative). She has been groomed to remove her mats and is microchipped, so this sweet girl is looking for her forever home now. She is very sweet and follows her foster mom around. She likes to be rubbed and petted and will lay in your lap and purr. She is litter boxed trained. She does require a soft food diet. She is good with other cats and ok with small breed dogs that give her space. She does well with allowing her nails to be trimmed.
Old Dogs New Digs is helping to network Karen for Fairy Tales rescue. Karen is in Rumford, Maine
