Hello. My name is Junebug because I was trapped by Miss Tana in June 2023. I was a stray kitty hanging around at some apt complexes near Stevens St and Claremont Ct in Cookeville. Nobody recognized me or knew where I came from; no microchip, and nobody claimed me. I wanted to be friendly with people, but was kind of distrustful and had a bad attitude around other kitties. I believe I'm like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh -- I'm the only one ... or at least I want to be the only kitty in my new home please.

My temporary home after spay was in an extra large dog crate in the living room at her grandparents' house. I warmed up to Miss Tana pretty fast and assured her I was not a wild, feral girl. I can be a moody, "spicy" girl, so you need to be cat savvy. Unfortunately, I have gained a lot of weight since living inside because once I finish my food, I will go around and try to finish the other cats' food plus I know how to get into where the dry food is kept. I definitely need to lose some weight to be at my optimum health and truly thrive. I cannot have food left out all the time! I need 1/4 cup of dry food in the a.m. and a whole 5.5 oz can of wet pate food in the p.m. Sometimes Miss Tana mixes it with a little extra warm water to give me more moisture in my diet which is very important.

I LOVE expressing and receiving tlc affection -- rubbing against you, being in your lap, looking adoringly up at you, being petted and talked to, being on and sleeping in the bed with you, and just hanging out with you super close. I'm not a big fan of other cats -- pretty much anytime Miss Tana has witnessed me having had a bad cattitude is because I could smell, hear, or see other cats. (probably no young children or inexperienced cat people please) I would like to live in a home where I am the center of tlc attention instead of always having to compete for my human's time and affection. Could you be my people and sharing your home with you my dream come true? (I would do best living with mature adults in a "low-key" stable, routine environment -- not a lot of changes {like the rescue, multi-cat environment as it constantly stresses me out and upsets me} and not a lot of chaos or loud noises and not a lot of in and out visitors/company.) When I am the only kitty around, I am typically a precious lover kitty who wants to show you just how wonderful my bond with you can be.
