Joey's Story

Joey is a very sweet, neutered male gray tabby a little over 2 years old, who has charm for days. With his big green eyes, adorable face, and affectionate nature, he wins over everyone he meets. Joey is friendly, gentle, and absolutely loves to be close to his person—he’s a devoted snuggle buddy who would be thrilled to share your bed at night.

Joey is also a bit special. One of the bones in his front leg didn’t form in utero, so he walks with a limp and is a bit hunched when he stands since one leg is shorter than the other. The good news? It doesn’t cause him any pain, and there’s nothing medically needed or recommended to “fix” it. He gets around perfectly well—he can hop onto chairs, beds, and cat trees without trouble. He has no litterbox issues or problems. He just isn’t quite as fast or athletic as a typical cat, which honestly adds to his charm.

He has lived peacefully with other cats, though he’s never been around dogs or small children, so slow, thoughtful introductions would be best.

If you’re looking for a loving, gentle cat with a huge heart and an adorable one-of-a-kind gait, Joey may be the perfect match. He’s ready to bring warmth, companionship, and lots of purrs to his new forever home.

If you would like to meet this special furball, please fill out the Online Pre-Adoption Questionnaire at on our website, https://www.catmanducc.org/copy-of-adoption. Then come by Catmandu Friday through Sunday for a meet and greet and to talk with an adoption specialist. Adoption hours are 11 am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have time to spend with the cats before adoptions close at 4. Please bring a carrier in case you find your purrfect friend.
Renters must bring a copy of their lease showing they are allowed to have a cat.
For more information on Catmandu, see bio.link/momcat

Catmandu's Adoption Policy
Catmandu is located in Carson City, NV. We do not ship cats cross-country. You must be able to visit In person prior to adoption. We ask that all family members come to meet the cat, especially if there are children. Spay/neuter, shots to date, and deworming (if necessary) are included in our adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $100 for kittens under 1 year old; and $50 for adult cats. We strongly prefer to have adopters complete an application and make an appointment to meet the cats. Because we have an extremely small staff, this ensures that we will be able to give each potential adopter plenty of individual time and attention to help them select the perfect cat for their family and situation. It is very important to us that it is a good fit and the adoption is for the lifetime of the cat. Appointments are available Tuesday through Sunday.
